What I help with
Nine conversations most people need to have at some point. Start with whichever one is keeping you up at night.
Parts A through D, and the real difference between an Advantage plan and a Supplement. I'll explain how the enrollment windows work as you approach 65, so a deadline never decides for you.
Questions I'll answer
- What do Parts A, B, C and D each cover?
- Advantage or Supplement — how do I compare them?
- When is my enrollment window, and what happens if I miss it?
A pay-down plan that fits on one page. Which balance to take on first, why that order, and what it frees up each month.
Questions I'll answer
- Smallest balance first, or highest interest rate?
- Does consolidating make sense in my situation?
- How long until I'm actually clear?
Where the money actually goes each month, written down in one place. We separate what is fixed from what you can move, then set a number you can live with.
Questions I'll answer
- Where is my money going every month?
- How much should be left over?
- How do I budget when my income changes week to week?
How much to set aside before anything else, and where to keep it so it's there the day you need it. We size it to your real expenses, not a rule of thumb.
Questions I'll answer
- How many months should I have saved?
- Where should that money sit?
- What counts as an emergency, and what doesn't?
How the process really works, from the first pre-approval conversation to the day you sign. I'll walk you through it so nothing at closing is a surprise.
Questions I'll answer
- How much house is comfortable, not just approved?
- Who pays the real estate commission?
- What are closing costs, line by line?
Lease or finance, and the numbers worth checking before you sign anything. We'll go over what to ask for at the dealership.
Questions I'll answer
- Lease or finance — which fits how I drive?
- Is dealer financing better than my credit union?
- Which add-ons are worth paying for?
Term or permanent, and how much is actually enough. We start with who depends on your income, then work out what it would take to keep them steady.
Questions I'll answer
- Term or permanent — which fits my family?
- How much coverage is enough for us?
- Can I keep this policy if I change jobs?
I help you understand and compare what lenders put in front of you. We read a loan estimate together — rate, APR, points and fees — so you can weigh two offers side by side.
Questions I'll answer
- 15 or 30 years — what does each cost me?
- What's the difference between the rate and the APR?
- Should I pay points, or put that money down?
I help you understand what you need and get organized before anything is drafted. When it's time to put it in writing, I connect you with an attorney who prepares the documents.
Questions I'll answer
- Do I need a will, a trust, or both?
- What should I have gathered before I see an attorney?
- Who should I name, and how often should that be reviewed?

About
Hi, I'm Sergio Navarro.
I grew up around hardworking families who did everything they could to build a better life, but often didn't have someone to clearly explain their financial options. That experience shaped the way I approach my work today.
For over 20 years, I've helped individuals and families navigate real estate, home loans, life insurance, Medicare, and financial education.
My goal is simple: listen first, explain your options clearly, and help you make informed decisions about your financial future.

Common questions
No. The first conversation is free, by phone, video or in person, and you're not signing anything that day.
No. I'm based in San Antonio and work with clients across the United States. Most conversations happen by phone or video; in person works too if you're nearby.
Sí. Toda la conversación, los documentos que revisamos y las preguntas que tenga, en español. Just say the word when you call.
About three months before you turn 65, so the enrollment window doesn't close on you. If you're past 65 and still working, there are rules worth walking through before you change anything.
Yes, and there's no cost for that either. Bring what you have. Sometimes the answer is that your current cover is fine, and that's a perfectly good outcome.
No. I help you understand what you need and get organized, and I connect you with an attorney to draft the documents. The same goes for tax questions — those belong with a qualified professional.
